Sales Engineer

Job Description

Sales Engineer Position is the primary technical resource for the field sales force.
Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisers and solution advocates for our solutions.
The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and solution positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical and solution-driven issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Driving POVs and technology evaluations with prospects.
  • Follow industry technology trends through self-study and formal training.
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Representing the solution to customers and at events such as conferences & seminars.
  • Support the Account Executive by taking a consultative role in the customers' evaluation processes, including answering all technical questions, troubleshooting development/configuration issues, and managing escalation to Engineering.
  • Develop strong technical relationships within the various customer teams, acting as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Sales Engineer/Solution Architect in the DevOps space.
  • Bachelor’s degree or extraordinary self-learning skills.
  • Experience with supporting and troubleshooting software deployment and configuration in Windows and Linux environment.
  • Experience with Observability platforms and monitoring (i.e. APM, Infrastructure).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery tools i.e Jenkins, Harness.io, CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with Open Source Management solutions – a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Excellent spoken and written English is a must. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with coding languages I.e. Java, NodeJS, Ruby, PHP, Python, Go, .NET/Core, C++.
  • Familiarity with SPA front-end technologies i.e. AngularJS, ReactJS, NextJS, JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, micro-services configurations.
